The Facts: According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Lynch and the Seahawks will part on amicable terms following the star running back's abrupt retirement.
Diehards Line:In fact, Rapoport advised his Twitter followers on Wednesday that Lynch, who tweeted his goodbye to professional football during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 50, isn't expected to be asked to return the $5 million signing bonus baked into the two-year deal he signed with the Seahawks last March. According to Rapoport, "both sides seem pleased" with the situation and are ready to move forward. Meanwhile, Thomas Rawls emerged as a potential replacement for Lynch and Christine Michael seems to have earned another chance as a backup after his return to the team. In addition, the team could add to the mix this offseason. We'll report back as developments warrant.
