The Facts: Asked about Bryant, who was suspended the first four games of 2015 because of marijuana use, team president Art Rooney II hopes the situation was a wakeup call about what to do off the field: "Martavis is a player who has tremendous ability and potential, and we just have to continue to work with him to make sure he takes care of his business off the field and puts himself in a position to be as great a player that he can be. … We hope the experience he had earlier this season will have an impact on him."
Diehards Line:Bryant missed the first four games of the season while serving the suspension, but finished with 50 receptions for 765 yards and six touchdowns. He was Pittsburgh's most dangerous weapon in the playoffs, finishing with four catches for 183 yards and a spectacular touchdown to go with three carries for 84 yards. He capably filled the No. 1 receiver role when Antonio Brown went down with a concussion in the final minute of Pittsburgh's wild-card win over the Bengals. Bryant has big-play ability but as QB Ben Roethlisberger recently suggested, the young WR must develop into a more consistent player. "I'm already talking to him about the offseason, what he needs to do to take that next step," Roethlisberger said. "I told him, 'this offseason, you need to become the best in the world.'" Staying out of trouble will be a step in that process.
