The Facts: GM Trent Baalke said Hyde had foot surgery late in the season and should be good to go for the start of the 49ers' offseason program.
Diehards Line:
Hyde didn't play after Week 7 this season due to a stress fracture in his foot. As Bleacher Report's Adam Wells pointed out, San Francisco's offense had ample problems this season, starting with a bad offensive line and Colin Kaepernick's fall from grace. Hyde's presence was the team's only hope to take the pressure off the passing game, as he did in Week 1 with 168 yards and two touchdowns. Looking ahead, The 49ers have higher hopes for this coming season, as they have the No. 7 pick in the 2016 NFL draft and Chip Kelly as their new head coach to lead the way. As long as Hyde's recovery goes as planned, the 49ers should have the talented running back on the field in plenty of time for next season.
