The Facts: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told 105.3 The FAN Radio in Dallas that Romo is out for the season with a hairline fracture in his clavicle. Jones added that Romo won't need surgery.
Diehards Line:
It appears that Romo’s clavicle injury isn’t as severe this time around as the earlier injury that forced him to miss seven games this season. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Romo is looking at the standard timeframe for a clavicle fracture -- 8 weeks. He will be fine for offseason programs. Meanwhile, Matt Cassel is the starter of record in Dallas for the rest of the year -- barring the unforeseen.
