The Facts: Ingram was limited by an unspecified injury during the New Orleans Saints' 47-14 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday. But he appeared to finish the game, so it's likely he'll be at full speed when the Saints return from their Week 11 bye.
Diehards Line:
Ingram started with a bang Sunday with a career-long 70-yard run to set up a touchdown on New Orleans’ opening drive. But he finished with just 77 yards on five carries and 21 yards on three catches with no touchdowns. It’s unclear what injury Ingram was dealing with, but he briefly went into the locker room during the first half. And HC Sean Payton said he was still unavailable during the Saints’ opening series in the third quarter – which was too bad, considering backup Tim Hightower was stuffed on third-and-1 and C.J. Spiller was stuffed on fourth-and-1 at the Redskins’ 31-yard line. “He was still coming off of a nick in the first half and getting treatment, so he wasn’t back and ready yet,” Payton explained. ... We'll follow up as needed.
