The Facts: Shortly after placing WR Keenan Allen on season-ending injured reserve, the Chargers added Oliver to the list as well.
Diehards Line:
Oliver suffered a turf toe injury against the Baltimore Ravens and hoped to get back on the field. However, the Chargers apparently needed the roster spot, placing him on the injured reserve list. Oliver ends his second NFL season with 31 carries for 108 yards (3.5 yards per carry) and 13 catches for 112 yards. He also returned eight kickoffs for 197 yards (24.6 yards per return). Donald Brown could see more work behind Danny Woodhead and Melvin Gordon with Oliver out.
