The Facts: HC John Harbaugh announced that Pitta will take part in practice with the team. "He's going to see how he feels out here," Harbaugh said, via the team.
Diehards Line:
itta has been on the physically unable to perform list since the start of training camp so he could recover after fracturing and dislocating his hip last season. It was the second time that Pitta suffered those injuries and he played in just seven games during the 2013 and 2014 seasons as a result of those injuries. The fact that he’s been cleared to practice is obviously a good sign for Pitta’s health, but it’s hardly a guarantee that he’ll wind up in the lineup at some point this season. Pitta’s been out of action since getting injured three weeks into last season and it’s impossible to predict whether the damage done to his hip will be too much to come back from. By returning to practice, Pitta opens a three-week window to work with the team before he must either be placed on the active roster or shut down for the rest of the year.
