The Facts: The Bills announced today that Goodwin has been placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a rib injury while returning a kickoff on Sunday.
Diehards Line:
A 2013 third-round draft pick of the Bills, Goodwin missed four games as a rookie and six games last year with injuries. This year he has played in only two games. Goodwin was a long jumper on the 2012 U.S. Olympic team and may decide to turn his focus to the long jump again this offseason in the hopes of making the 2016 Olympic team. If he does, he may choose Olympic training over minicamp, and the Olympics would conflict with training camp and the preseason. So it may be a while before Goodwin is with the Bills again.
