The Facts: Lynch should be back for Sunday's game against Carolina after sitting out the past two weeks with a hamstring injury.
Diehards Line:
But that doesn’t necessarily mean Thomas Rawls will go back to the bench. HC Pete Carroll said Monday that the coaches will find ways to get snaps for Rawls, who rushed for 169 yards in Sunday’s loss at Cincinnati. “Normally, Marshawn comes in and out pretty regularly, so we’ll just pump (Rawls) in there and see how many carries that amounts to,’’ Carroll said. “Usually it’s about eight or 10 carries on a regular game. We’ll see how that goes. We’re going to feel real comfortable about him in the two spot, coming in off the bench. There’s no reason for him not to play, he’s done a great job for us, and I would say he’s probably exceeded our expectations at this point.’’ Rawls, in fact, is 11th in the NFL in rushing with 356 yards on 58 carries, with an average of 5.6 per attempt, which ranks third. Lynch did not make the trip to Cincinnati, but Carroll said he “had a good workout (Monday) and he should be on track (to return to practice on) Thursday.”
