The Facts: Dunbar was knocked out of Wednesday’s practice with a right ankle injury, but it does not appear serious, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.
Diehards Line:Dunbar got hurt on the third play of team drills after a low hit. He ran down the field to finish the play but was limping noticeably and eventually left the field. With Darren McFadden out with a hamstring injury, the Cowboys were down to Joseph Randle, Lache Seastrunk and Gus Johnson at tailback. Dunbar has had a positive start to camp as he looks to fill a major role on the offense as a third-down back. “I think that was an awkward tackle or hit that was made on him and I think it just tweaked something,” Jones said. “But we don’t think it’s serious at this point. ..."
