The Facts: Following up on a previous item. ... According to ESPN.com's Tania Ganguli, this is a significant injury for Foster. "Can confirm," Ganguli tweeted, "there's concern it will require groin surgery."
Diehards Line:
This is going downhill quickly. ... We'll continue to keep a close eye on the situation. We'll also remind you the team has Alfred Blue, who did a nice job in relief of Foster last season. The Texans also added former Eagle Chris Polk to the mix. Polk was expected to compete with Blue and Jonathan Grimes for that No. 2 spot. Foster's injury could change that. Polk rushed for 172 yards and four touchdowns on 46 carries for Philadelphia in 2014. Buried on the depth chart in Philadelphia, the move to Houston gives him a chance to push for a role -- especially if Foster misses time. We'll obviously continue to watch this one closely.
