The Facts: While attempting to scoop up the football in punt-return drills, Williams went down awkwardly grasping his leg in the early part of the team's second day of training camp. After being tended to by trainers for several minutes, Williams was carted off the field, crying with his hands covering his face. "I worked too hard for this," said Williams via his Twitter account less than an hour after leaving practice.
Diehards Line:
Williams was in the mix for the punt-returner job with Jordan Norwood, Solomon Patton, Isaiah Burse and Emmanuel Sanders. Williams, 5-foot-10, 186 pounds, is a six-year veteran out of Arizona State. He has battled knee injuries in the past.
