The Facts: LaFell was a guest on Sirius XM NFL Radio on Wednesday afternoon, promoting some of his community/charity work. In the process, he also provided an update on his health status. LaFell didn't take part in offseason camps and was spotted in pictures at charity events with a boot on his left foot. "Just a few lingering injuries that happened in the late part of the regular season that I just played through throughout the playoffs," LaFell told host Bruce Murray. "Finally got some time off to let my body heal up properly; I’m out of the boot now and I’m just looking forward to starting camp.”
Diehards Line:LaFell, who also played through a nagging shoulder injury last season, had a career year in his first season in New England by totaling 74 catches for 953 yards and seven touchdowns. On Sirius, he talked about how he benefited from catching a lot of passes this offseason and by staying "within the playbook and continue to pick [Tom] Brady's mind and try to get better."
