The Facts: Randle will be entering a contract year this season. He wants to retire a Giant. "I just plan on having the best year I’ve had so far,” Randle said. Eighty catches? “I think I can do that easy,” Randle said. “I was at 71 last year, and a lot more balls I could have easily got.” Touchdowns? “It’s going to be more than three, I can tell you that,” Randle said.
Diehards Line:
As Post staffer Steve Serby suggests, Randle was drafted in the second round in 2012 to catch more than three TD passes from Manning. You ask Randle whether he feels he has underachieved so far, and his answer is refreshingly honest. "Me personally, I do,” Randle said. “I know I’m a better player than what I’ve showed so far, so this year’s kind of a statement year for me to just go out there and price myself, that I can be a dominant player in this league.” From a fantasy perspective, Randle has been easy to overlook. But he finished the 2014 season with back-to-back 100-yard performances, catching six passes for 158 yards in the finale against the Eagles. Randle caught 12 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown over the final two games. With fantasy nation focused (and for good reason) on Odell Beckham heading into his second season as a pro as well as on Victor Cruz's recovery from the torn patellar tendon that ended his 2014 season early, smart owners might want to look Randle's way.
