The Facts: With a need for help at wide receiver, New Orleans has brought back Morgan on a one-year deal, according to a source.
Diehards Line:
Morgan spent the last four seasons with the Saints but was released in December. He caught four passes for 92 yards and had one run for another 67 yards. The 27-year-old was also suspended by the team for a stretch last season for undisclosed reasons. Morgan hooked on with the Saints in 2011 as an undrafted rookie but missed the season with a knee injury. He returned in 2012, catching 10 passes for 379 yards, but again injured his knee and missed the 2013 season. The Saints have a need at wide receiver after trading Kenny Stills to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a third-round pick and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe last month. Morgan will likely have to win a roster spot in training camp. The Saints also have Brandon Coleman, Marques Colston, Brandin Cooks, Seantavius Jones, Jalen Saunders, Willie Snead, Andy Tanner and Nick Toon at wide receiver.
