The Facts: There has been a lot of talk about the possibility of the Buccaneers trading QB Mike Glennon. But Glennon isn’t the only player who could be available in a trade. Martin could be expendable, and he could bring the Bucs a draft pick.
Diehards Line:
So suggested ESPN.com's Pat Yasinskas, who noted that two years ago, trading Martin would have been unthinkable. He rushed for more than 1,400 yards as a rookie in the 2012 season. But Martin’s production has decreased dramatically the last two seasons. Injuries have played a big part in that. But, even when Martin has been healthy, he hasn’t looked like the same back he was in 2012. It's not all on Martin (the offensive line play hasn't been great), but Charles Sims was drafted in the third round last year, and the coaching staff seems infatuated with him. Martin could have far more value to another team than he does to the Bucs. Yasinskas summed up: "If the Bucs can get a mid-round pick for Martin, they should make the deal."
