The Facts: The Eagles and Murray reportedly have agreed to terms on a deal that will lure the NFL’s leading rusher and two-time Pro Bowl halfback away from Eagles’ division rivals.
Diehards Line:ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported that Murray is flying to Philadelphia on Thursday to sign a contract with the Eagles and that the Cowboys, whom Murray played his first four seasons for, are already scouring the free-agent market for replacements. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport is also reporting if all goes well when the two sides meet, Murray is expected to sign with the Eagles. Nothing can or will be official until Murray signs the deal. Until then, the Cowboys can still lure Murray back, but all signs point to Murray's replacing LeSean McCoy as the team’s franchise back. Remember, the Eagles have an an agreement with Ryan Mathews, but he hasn't signed the contract yet. If a deal went down between the Eagles and Murray, Mathews could end up becoming the odd man out and back in free agency.
