The Facts: In perhaps another signal they are readying to make a run at Dolphins tight end Charles Clay, the Bills announced the release of Chandler on Wednesday afternoon.
Diehards Line:
The 29-year-old Chandler hauled in 47 passes for 497 yards and three touchdowns last season for Buffalo. He was set to make $1.95 million in salary in 2015. Chandler has hauled in 182 passes for 2,120 yards and 17 touchdowns since entering the NFL in 2007, with the bulk of his production with Buffalo the last four seasons. Clay, whom the Dolphins gave their transition tag, has taken a free agent visit to Buffalo, and the Bills are reportedly preparing to sign him to an offer sheet. The Dolphins have the right to match any offer. ... In case you missed it, the team also lost TE Lee Smith, who signed with the Raiders.
