The Facts: According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bears are re-signing Clausen.
Diehards Line:Clausen was 1-9 as a starter for new Bears HC John Fox during a 2-14 2009 season in Carolina and the QB hadn't played since before the Bears signed him as a backup, who eventually appeared in four games. The next question is whether the Bears keep Jay Cutler as their starter (the team already traded Brandon Marshall to the Jets earlier today). We'll have an answer to that one early next week. Schefter is currently reporting, barring the unexpected, that Cutler will return for the 2015 season. If so, Clausen might want to be on the ready.
