The Facts: While the Cowboys have mapped out their plan for Dez Bryant, they appear ready to allow the NFL's rushing champ, Murray, to hit the open market.
Diehards Line:
At the scouting combine, Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones said if Murray did not sign before free agency began it would not preclude his return, citing Darren Woodson and Jay Novacek as past examples. Owner Jerry Jones said he wants the running back to be a Cowboy for life. And Murray has made it clear that money won't be the only factor in the decision where he plays in 2015. But the fact he'll hit the free-agent market clears the way for a move (and while it might not be the only factor, money will certainly be at the top of the list). We'll be watching his status closely.
