The Facts: GM John Schneider said this week there's a "50/50 chance" Richardson, who suffered an ACL injury during the team's divisional-round playoff win over the Panthers, could start next season on the team's Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list. “His surgery went great, and he’s such a freak athlete that I wouldn’t put anything past him," Schneider said. "But I think there’s a 50/50 chance he goes into the PUP window, and we need to continue to address that position much like we do every other position."
Diehards Line:
Drafted in the second round last year out of Colorado, Richardson finished his initial season in the NFL with 29 grabs for 271 yards and a touchdown. He came on strong toward the end of 2014 as the team's third wideout behind leading receivers Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse, recording 15 of his 29 catches and 169 of his 271 yards through the team's final four regular season games. If he were to land on the PUP list to open 2015, Richardson would be forced to sit out at least the first six regular-season games Seattle played.
