The Facts: HC Rex Ryan announced Monday that Vick will start at quarterback against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, relegating second-year passer Geno Smith to the bench.
Diehards Line:
Smith was pulled in the first quarter during Sunday's 43-23 loss to the Buffalo Bills after throwing three interceptions. Starting against the Chiefs means Vick will go up against coach Andy Reid, who signed Vick after his prison term and eventually made him the starting quarterback, for a second straight year. Last season, Reid and the Chiefs beat Vick and the Eagles in Philly, with Vick completing 13 of 30 passes for 201 yards, a touchdown, two interceptions, and a lost fumble. Vick also added 99 yards rushing in the 26-16 loss. ... We'll see what he can do in Smith's place this week.
