The Facts: There have been a lot of talented running backs in the NFL over the years, but none of them has ever done what Murray has done in the first seven games of this season. Murray went over 100 yards in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Giants to become the first player in history to run for at least 100 yards in each of his team’s first seven games of a season.
Diehards Line:
Jim Brown had done it in six straight games, but Murray has now gone one better as his remarkable 2014 season continues. Murray needed to get his left ankle retaped after an awkward fall in the second quarter, but it has otherwise been business as usual for the league’s top rusher. Murray finished with 128 yards on a whopping 28 carries, giving him giving him 913 yards for the season. Murray stands a good chance at topping the 1,000-yard mark in the first half of the season.
