The Facts: Austin Davis' solid afternoon led to Sunday's 19-17 win over the Bucs. Was the upset victory enough to tempt Fisher into sticking with Davis and trying to create a sense of momentum? "No," HC Jeff Fisher said, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "When [Hill] comes back, he's our starter. I'm really proud of Austin, but Shaun's our starter when he can play."
Diehards Line:
Fishers has held firm to that stance ever since Sam Bradford went down with an ACL injury in late August. It's going to take more than one game to change that plan. Remember; although a thigh injury prevented Hill from starting, Fisher kept the veteran active in case the Rams needed him to finish out the game from a shotgun formation. So until/unless Davis gets further chance to prove himself, Hill will continue to be Fisher's choice.
