The Facts: Maclin thinks that in some ways, he's in better physical condition than he was before he tore his ACL. "In some ways, I feel faster," Maclin said. "In some ways I feel more fresh, more physically strong. I just think you put so much hard work into your rehab process that that's kind of what happens. You get that leg back. You build that leg back stronger. So like I said, I'm really looking forward to this year."
Diehards Line:
Of course we're all eager to get a feel for what Maclin might be capable of in his first season under Chip Kelly. Maclin has big-play ability -- 26 touchdown catches in four seasons. Concerns? He has never caught more than 70 passes in a season or hit the 1,000-yard mark. While he knows what Kelly's offense is about after being around the team all last year, he hasn’t gone through it at full speed yet. So while fantasy football owners should keep a close eye on Maclin, they probably shouldn't bite too hard until they feel confident in both his health and fit in the offense.
