The Facts: Tate might not find anybody who scares him in the Browns' running back room, but he'll have company handling the workload on Sundays. HC Mike Pettine told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that Cleveland will embrace a committee approach as the team attempts to put a better emphasis on the run in 2014. "I think in the AFC North, you have to be running back by committee," Pettine said. "You'd like to have a guy that can carry most of the load, but also be able to alternate guys. ... You've got to be able to get fresh legs out there."
Diehards Line:
Tate -- who signed a two-year deal in the offseason -- remains the favorite to see the majority of snaps this season. Pettine's comments indicate that third-round pick Terrance West and Dion Lewis will also be part of the game plan. ... Of course, if Tate avoids injury and produces it will be harder to swap him out. Still, for fantasy football owners, Pettine's comments add a level of uncertainty we'd all prefer to avoid. We'll continue to watch for more.
