The Facts: There has been a clear changing of the guard in Cincinnati. Second-year phenom Giovanni Bernard and LSU rookie Jeremy Hill started Bengals OTAs Tuesday and the No.1 and No.2 running backs respectively according to Geoff Hobson of bengals.com.
Diehards Line:
As the Redzone.org notes, this is notable because Bernard did not start one game in 2013 under former OC Jay Gruden. Clearly new OC Hue Jackson is ready to move forward. Meaning BenJarvus Green-Ellis is not the guy to build his run-heavy offense around. Indeed, the fact that Green-Ellis started OTAs as the third-string running back and could be out of Cincy's plans altogether by the end of training camp. It's a situation we'll be watching in coming weeks, but it appears the Law Firm's role and future in Cincy are worth questioning.
