The Facts: PFT has learned that the Browns are parting ways with Little.
Diehards Line:ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting the same. ... As PFT's Josh Alper notes, the move leaves the newly signed Miles Austin and Earl Bennett to go with Andrew Hawkins, Nate Burleson and Travis Benjamin at wideout with Josh Gordon facing a suspension. Little was a second-round pick of the team in 2011 and has started 41-of-48 regular season games since joining the team, but he seemed to steadily fall out of favor last season on his way to 41 catches for 465 yards and two touchdowns. Drops have been an issue for Little over the years and, despite the starting role, he never developed into the receiver the Browns (or fantasy football owners) were hoping to get when they drafted him. Little may get looks from other teams, but as Alper summed up, "getting cut from this receiver group isn’t the best omen for a long NFL career."
