The Facts: The Dolphins announced the addition of Williams on Thursday.
Diehards Line:
So the Dolphins continue to add to their receiving corps after drafting LSU receiver Jarvis Landry in the second round and Coastal Carolina receiver Matt Hazel in the sixth round of last week’s draft. Williams has spent portions of four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars. At 6-5, Williams is clearly the tallest receiving option on the Dolphins roster. He caught seven passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns for Seattle last preseason and showed potential as a deep threat. Williams was claimed off waivers by Jacksonville but landed on injured reserve in November. He was released by the Jaguars on Monday. Williams has appeared in 19 games in four years with nine catches for 101 yards, all as a rookie with Arizona in 2010.
