The Facts: Following up on the ongoing story. ... Rice has agreed to terms with the Seahawks. He gets a one-year deal to return to Seattle.
Diehards Line:
Despite (or perhaps because) of a scheduled visit with the Jets, Rice consummated a deal with his former team before New York had a chance to do anything. In case you missed it, Rice has been cleared to resume football activities after suffering a season-ending ACL last Oct. 28. His return to Seattle will help cover for Golden Tate's free-agent defection to the Lions -- assuming Rice can stay healthy. That's not a given as Rice has only made it through a full 16-game campaign twice in seven seasons as a pro. That said, Rice has averaged more than 15.0 yards per catch in each of the last five seasons.
