The Facts: This wouldn't qualify as a high-profile addition by any means, but the Minnesota Vikings did add a free agent on Sunday, agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with Hilliard.
Diehards Line:Hilliard comes to the Vikings from the Miami Dolphins, who selected him out of Montana in the sixth round of the 2008 draft. The 27-year-old Hilliard is listed at 5-11, 240-pound and is viewed as being able to play both tailback and fullback. As 1500ESPN.com's Judd Zulgad notes, if Hilliard makes the 53-man roster, he also will have to make a significant contribution on special teams. He appeared in all 16 regular-season games for the Dolphins the past three seasons and made his first four career starts in 2011.
