The Facts: Following up on a previous item. ... Howard Eskin reported Saturday night that Favre could be a possible addition for the Philadelphia Eagles, raising hope that a FavreWatch could once again develop, the kind of riveting drama we haven’t been able to say no to the last three summers. But Jay Glazer of FOXSports extinguished the story quickly when he said two Eagles sources were emphatic that Favre is not in the plans for them.

Diehards Line: As Glazer advised his Twitter followers, "Let's end the uproar now" adding that his sources say Vick is "not the option they are on. ..." Not that Eskin's initial report had much substance. Eskin even followed up on Twitter, stressing an interest in Favre was "possible. ..." But does anybody see Favre looking for a back-up role? And as NFP staffer Brad Biggs points out, the the Eagles were high on rookie Mike Kafka a year ago, and the young QB figures to getn an opportunity to develop to the point that maybe Philadelphia can trade him like the club is expected to do with Kevin Kolb.
