The Facts: The Bears did not tender Aromashodu as a restricted free agent, meaning he will be unrestricted when the new league year begins.
Diehards Line:If you used the final month of the 2009 season as a gauge, it looked like Aromashodu was headed for big things with the Bears. He had emerged as a preferred target of Jay Cutler and the Week 1 opener this past season did nothing to dispel the idea either. Cutler targeted Aromashodu a team-high 10 times and he caught five passes for 71 yards. Then, Aromashodu disappeared (or some was say he was buried in Mike Martz' doghouse due to his reluctance to go over the middle of the field). ... Whatever the case, the decision to let him move on isn't a major surprise. But as the NFP suggests, because Aromashodu is 6-2, 201 pounds and has had some success before, he’ll catch on somewhere. But he'll have to wait until the new CBA is done before finding out.
