The Facts: The Seattle Seahawks have released veteran tight end Chris Baker and quarterback Nate Davis, who was signed to a futures contract less than two months ago. Seattle announced the moves Thursday.
Diehards Line:Baker played just one season with the Seahawks but appeared in all 16 regular-season games. He started 13 times, but was placed on injured reserve Jan. 4 after fracturing a bone in his hip against St. Louis. He finished the year with nine catches for 116 yards and one touchdown. Davis signed with Seattle on Jan. 11. He was released by San Francisco at the end of training camp last September.
