The Facts: The Titans worked out four running backs on Tuesday, including Johnson. The 6–1, 235-pounder is in his eighth NFL season out of Penn State. He played in two games with the Redskins this season, totaling five carries for two yards.
Diehards Line:Johnson, 30, has 1,426 career carries for 6,221 yards (4.4-yard average) and 55 touchdowns. He put together back-to-back seasons of more than 1,700 yards in 2005 and 2006, but has only once topped the 600-yard mark since. The other backs that worked out were Kestahn Moore, Alfonso Smith and William Ta’Ufo’Ou. None were offered contracts.
