The Facts: The Redskins invested a lot of faith in trading for Donovan McNabb and have made numerous other roster moves to revamp a team now led by Super Bowl-winning HC Mike Shanahan. They have young WRs Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas who were drafted to be future stars. But, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post, who was the No.1 receiver catching passes from McNabb at camp this morning? Galloway.
Diehards Line:That would be the same 39-year-old Galloway who failed at his last stop with the Patriots and has caught a total of 20 passes in the last two years. Per Maese, Kelly and Thomas were working with backup QB Rex Grossman. While this could be a temporary situation (perhaps even a motivational ploy), it can't possibly speak well of the progress of either Thomas or Kelly (who is should be noted is nursing a sore hamstring). ... We suspect there's more to come on this one.
