The Facts: The Bengals re-signed Coats, the team announced today.
Diehards Line:Coats has been with the Bengals since 2007 after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Brigham Young. With second-year man to be Chase Coffman the only TE on the roster, the Bengals badly needed depth. Coats started 11 games last season, catching 16 passes for 150 yards. He helped the Bengals' running game a lot with his blocking as they rushed for a franchise-record eight 100-yard games. For his career, he has caught 30 passes for 291 yards.
