The Facts: The worst contract in the history of free agency is no longer active. The Raiders finally cut Walker Monday and dumped DE Greg Ellis while they were at it, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Diehards Line:As NFL.com notes, Walker signed a six-year, $55 million contract in 2008, but the receiver never could get healthy while in Oakland. In his first season with the Raiders, Walker appeared in just eight games, starting seven, with 15 catches for 196 yards and one touchdown. Last season, he was held without a catch for the first time in his career, appearing in just three games while dealing with knee and hamstring injuries.. ... While his future in the NFL is uncertain, one thing is clear: Walker's big-money days are long gone.
