The Facts: It just became a whole lot more important for the Steelers to get Ben Roethlisberger back healthy. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Batch requires wrist surgery and will miss the next six weeks to recover.
Diehards Line:Batch replaced Roethlisberger in overtime of Sunday's loss, just playing a handful of snaps. Given Batch's status, it's worth noting that HC Mike Tomlin said Roethlisberger's head injury was "concussion oriented." And PFT's Mike Florio said initial exams on Big Ben were encouraging. The Steelers better hope so. Next in line is Dennis Dixon, who has thrown one career pass. The Steelers will likely have to look for more depth at the quarterback position.
