The Facts: Seeking NFL employment after being cut by the New Orleans Saints following last season, McAlister still has designs on playing some more football. McAllister, 30, said he's looking for a situation where he could play a complementary role and carry the football 10 to 15 times per game. "I'm still going to play," he said. "I want to play a couple more years."
Diehards Line:As PFT's Aaron Wilson noted, it has been extremely quiet for McAllister in NFL circles since the Saints cut ties with him, but he remains confident that he will find an opportunity to emerge as a contributor on a winning team. McAllister is the Saints' all-time rushing leader with 6,096 yards and 49 touchdown runs. Injuries, though, have taken a toll on him and it remains to be seen if he'll be of great interest to other teams.
