The Facts: The Redskins have signed wide receivers Williams and Trent Shelton.
Diehards Line:Williams, a fourth-round pick by Tennessee in 2005, broke his ankle before a Titans' playoff game in January 2008 and was released by the team before last season. He has caught 84 passes for 1,139 yards and six touchdowns over his career. Shelton had a strong 2007 preseason with Indianapolis after going un-drafted -- but worked primarily as a special teamer. The team reportedly made offers to both Kelley Washington and D.J. Hackett in recent days. Washington was visiting with Baltimore before making a decision; Hackett reported is dealing with personal issues that could keep him from joining the team until later this summer.
