The Facts: It was a sudden divorce with Gus Frerotte, and the St. Louis Rams wasted little time in finding another backup quarterback. Shortly after the team completed its first mini-camp Saturday under entcoach Steve Spagnuolo, the team signed Boller to be Marc Bulger’s backup.
Diehards Line:A former first-round draft pick, whom Mike Martz liked coming out of college, Boller was Baltimore’s starting quarterback. But he spent the entire 2008 season on injured reserve with rookie Joe Flacco leading the Ravens into the playoffs. ...
