The Facts: HC Herm Edwards will not announce his starting QB for Sunday’s game versus Denver until Wednesday. But do not be surprised if, after watching Tyler Thigpen make a series of mistakes against Atlanta, Edwards turns back to Huard.
Diehards Line:As NFL Network insider Adam Schefter suggests, it is the logical decision. Edwards knows that whoever plays quarterback cannot make the type of mistakes, and throw the types of interceptions, that Thigpen did Sunday against the Falcons. This season, the Chiefs have given up 30 points on turnovers -- an average of 10 per game. They are not good enough to overcome that many mistakes. That's why Huard is the best choice. Although not as mobile as Thigpen, Huard is more accurate making him the safer choice. ... Stay tuned. We'll know for sure on Wednesday.
