Looking at the crash in the picture
on the left makes me love the COT car so much more. A lot of NASCAR fans enjoy seeing a pile up,
but I prefer to see competition with some serious rubbing. However, not enough rubbing to where you
aren’t sure of the driver’s condition. Just a little mayhem to mix things up.
Dale
Earnhardt Jr. got busted for not playing nice with Casey Mears last
weekend at Phoenix International Raceway, so maybe he will focus that probation
pent energy on putting the #88 into victory lane. Dale is pretty much guaranteed a Top 15 at Talladega because of his
love for restrictor plate races, but I and Junior Nation would rather see him
celebrating in Victory Lane. It is because of Dale that restrictor plate
tracks are interesting.
Restrictor plate tracks make
predicting the possible outcome for a race very difficult. A driver may do decently well in the spring
at Talladega,
but then may turn around and get a DNF for the fall race. If you are trying to pick some drivers for
your fantasy league (besides Dale Earnhardt Jr.), then it might be best to go
with the following drivers and I will tell you why:
Kyle Busch
Kurt Busch
Jeff Gordon
Tony Stewart
David Ragan
Kyle Busch – Won last spring’s race and is due for another
win
Kurt Busch – Highest average finish rate (12.5) at Talladega
Jeff Gordon – Most wins (6) at Talladega out of current driver roster
Tony Stewart – Really, really wants to win for his new team
David Ragan – Just wanted to see if you were paying
attention
